For the unversed, Wuthering Heights was released earlier this year, with Margot Robbie in the lead role, who is currently among Hollywood’s top actresses. Jacob Elordi, who is also a rising star, appeared opposite her as the male lead. It opened with a $32.8 million collection in North America and went on to make $84 million in its theatrical run. Globally, the Margot Robbie starrer collected $241.8 million in its original run.

The Georgia Oakley-helmed drama must earn $242 million to beat Wuthering Heights as the biggest period drama of the year. But the domestic projections are even below $10 million for this Jane Austen adaptation. According to reports, the movie is tracking to earn just $8 million in its opening weekend in North America. It is poised to earn around $1 million from Thursday previews.
