Sheeba Chaddha opens up on playing Manthara in ‘Ramayana’: ‘There was no real prep’

Sheeba Chaddha is preparing to portray Manthara in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana film, which is scheduled for a two-part release beginning in November 2026. According to Chaddha, she did very little preparation for the role because her goal is to remain true to how the character is depicted in the original epic. The movie features an impressive star-cast taking on the central mythological roles.
