Taylor Swift is slated to be honored with the inaugural Artist Director Honors award at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. Established to recognize visionary musicians for their work behind the camera and their role in broadening the creative boundaries of music videos, the award will elevate Swift to the title of the most awarded artist in VMA history, pushing her past Beyoncé.
The 2026 MTV VMAs are scheduled for September 27, with the broadcast kicking off at 7:30 PM ET.
