The Odyssey OTT release date out!

It has been learned that The Odyssey will soon be available on OTT platforms for rent and purchase. According to reports, the Nolan-helmed movie will arrive on digital platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and others starting November 17. The viewers will be able to buy or rent it before it arrives on its home streaming network.

Christopher Nolan reportedly made a minimum 120-day theatrical window a condition of his move to Universal. This means his films must remain in theaters for at least 120 days before becoming available on digital platforms, a practice that was common before the pandemic but has become less frequent since. In the post-COVID era, Top Gun: Maverick, Oppenheimer, and now The Odyssey are among the few major films to receive such an extended theatrical run.

What is the film about?

The film follows Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, as he embarks on a dangerous journey home after the Trojan War. Sailing across the Mediterranean with his fellow soldiers, he faces treacherous natural forces, deadly obstacles, and mythical creatures that threaten to derail their quest. The Odyssey will be available on digital platforms from November 17.
