Despite dropping 329 theaters on Friday, ticket sales saw only a 42% decline compared to the previous weekend, bringing its domestic cumulative total to $600.7 million.
Reports indicate that overseas markets generated an impressive $28.1 million during the film’s ninth weekend, marking a mere 15% drop from the prior week. Box Office Mojo data shows that The Odyssey has accumulated $1.09 billion across 82 international territories. Consequently, its combined worldwide earnings reached the $1.68 billion mark over the weekend.

Universal’s The Odyssey is now right on the heels of that benchmark, poised to overtake Inside Out 2 as the 11th highest-grossing film of all time.
The Matt Damon-led project is simultaneously advancing toward the global top 10 list. Currently holding the #10 position is Zootopia 2, with a lifetime gross of $1.86 billion. Because the mythological epic projects a final worldwide haul between $1.8 billion and $1.9 billion, it is positioned to easily eclipse Zootopia 2 and enter the all-time global top 10.
