The Paradise North America Box Office (Closing Collection): Nani’s Film Falls 35% Short of Break-Even

Nani’s latest release, The Paradise, was expected to shatter box-office records. However, after a strong opening day, the film crashed at the box office. Despite a decent start in the region, it could not gain momentum due to negative reviews.

Owing to the hype surrounding the film, Nani‘s latest release registered strong advance bookings. It grossed $1.25 million through premiere shows and Day 1. Including premiere shows, the film posted a solid $1.63 million (15.67 crore) by the end of its opening day. However, it subsequently lost momentum due to poor reviews. The film was released in theaters on October 24, following special preview shows on September 23. Over the course of its theatrical run, the film failed to make significant progress at the box office.

Fails To Achieve Break-Even

According to the final update, The Paradise grossed $2.12 million in North America, equivalent to approximately 20.1 crore in Indian currency. The film earned $1.95 million in the USA, while Canada contributed $170,000 during its theatrical run. The majority of its collections came during the opening weekend. However, the film crashed at the box office in the weeks that followed.

Overseas, the film grossed just $3.2 million, equivalent to approximately 30.3 crore in Indian currency.

Interestingly, the film failed to break even in the overseas market. It needed to earn around $4.5 million, equivalent to approximately 42.95 crore, to achieve overseas break-even. In North America alone, the film needed to earn $3.25 million, equivalent to approximately 31.02 crore, to break even. However, it fell short of this target by $1.13 million.
