Vir Das has earned another International Emmy nod for his Netflix project, Vir Das: Fool Volume. The project secured a Comedy category nomination for the 2026 International Emmy Awards.
This acknowledgement serves as the most recent accolade for both Netflix and Vir Das at the International Emmys, marking his third nomination overall for a Netflix special.
Vir Das’ International Emmy History
Back in 2023, he secured the Best Comedy Series trophy for Vir Das: Landing, making history as the first Indian comedian to reach that milestone. Prior to that, his Netflix special Vir Das: For India earned him a nomination in 2021. Furthermore, he stepped in to host the International Emmys in 2024, marking the first time an Indian hosted the event.

Vir Das Reacts To Fool Volume’s Emmy Nomination
Regarding the nomination, the comedian shared, “Every few years, Netflix and I find a new reason to get together and make something slightly foolish… I mean, funny. I’m humbled all over again to be nominated for an International Emmy. Fool Volume is about silence — what it means to have a voice, and what happens when you actually use it. I’m deeply grateful to the jury, audiences, my team, and Netflix for giving me the space to make work I believe in. And to everyone who has laughed along the way — clearly, my delusion is contagious.”
