Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai Box Office Day 1 Final Advance Booking: Nivin Pauly & Soori’s Film Headed For A Slow Start

The latest Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai has been directed by noted filmmaker Ram. The film is being released in theaters after a really long wait. The film was reportedly made almost 5 years ago. The Tamil film reportedly has an intriguing plot, with Nivin Pauly playing a person who is more than 8,000 years old and is in search of the woman he loves. During his long journey, he encounters Soori on a train. What happens next is the film’s plot.

Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai Advance Sales

Interestingly, both Nivin Pauly and Soori just delivered the biggest blockbusters of their careers with Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and Mandaadi, respectively. However, their latest release is unlikely to recreate the magic of their previous films. While director Ram is a successful filmmaker, the buzz around the film is limited. The advance booking for the film began only on Wednesday afternoon, less than 24 hours before its theatrical release. Owing to this, the advance sales have been limited, and the film will now have to rely on word of mouth for its evening shows to pick up pace.

According to trade analysts, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai collected 32.25 lakh in advance collections at the domestic box office. The majority contribution came from Tamil Nadu, followed by Kerala and Karnataka.

More About The Film

The makers recently released the film’s trailer, giving us a clearer understanding of the plot. Nivin Pauly plays an 8,000-plus-year-old immortal man who encounters Soori’s character on a train. Their encounter sets off a chain of events that causes the two timelines to clash. The trailer hints at a mix of fantasy, humor, romance, and philosophical elements.

Directed by Ram, the film also stars Anjali. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, with cinematography by N K Ekhambram and editing by Mathi VS. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi under V House Productions, the film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2.
