“Bridgerton” season one was a runaway hit for Netflix, and author Julia Quinn is excited to see how fans react to the upcoming second season. While chatting with ET’s Lauren Zima on Tuesday, Quinn opened up about what she’s most looking forward to in season two, which will focus on Anthony Bridgerton’s (Jonathan Bailey) love story. “I’m looking forward to seeing how people react to season two because it’s very different from season one,” she shared. “It’s a little bit darker, a little bit grittier.”
Quinn also teased that viewers can expect to see some “book-to-screen” changes in season two, which she’s “excited” about.
“I’m always excited when they do something that I didn’t necessarily expect them to do or that takes the story in a slightly different direction,” she said. “It just keeps it fresh for me as well.”
