We have been given the go-ahead for season 4! Diggs is very excited and is yelling in the video. He says thank you to fans of the show who are loyal. He also said that if people liked Season 1 and 2, they will love Season 3 and 4 because it only gets bigger.

Snowpiercer was the top new scripted show on all ad-supported cable. The second season reached 21 million viewers across linear and digital in L+7 viewing, which ranked it as a Top 5 cable drama.

At the end of the second season, Layton (Daveed Diggs) and Ruth (Alison Wright), who were banished to Big Alice’s compost car, plotted to take back Snowpiercer. With the help of Javier (Roberto Urbina) and Alexandra (Rowan Blanchard), Layton and Ruth made it back to Snowpiercer and rallied with their supporters.
Josie (Katie McGuiness) destroyed the Aquarium car separating Snowpiercer’s head from the remaining 1,023 cars. With Layton in command of a 10-car “pirate train,” he and his team rushed to Breslauer Research Station to find Melanie (Jennifer Connelly).
Season three picks up with Layton (Diggs) and his inner circle commanding a small pirate train in search of Melanie (Connelly) and a possible warm location to restart civilization, aided by a newfound survivor.
What about Season 3 of Snowpiercer?
Snowpiercer season 3 is done and doesn’t have a date yet. In the show, the last scene was Diggs trying to find Jennifer Connelly’s character, Melanie. He found her on a pirate train and then he just told everyone what happened. The Hollywood Reporter said that season three of the show will start after what happened in the last episode and then it will also follow Sean Bean’s character as he tries to take control.

The outlet also reports that Archie Panjabi from The Good Wife will join season 3 of Designated Survivor. Mike O’Malley from A Good Place will be on Designated Survivor for the third season.
