The trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 2 is here, promising a thrilling end to what could be the show’s most explosive season yet.
In the short clip – which you can check out below – we see our heroes facing up against a gigantic monster spitting fireballs and scorching everything in its path. And if we weren’t already worried about Lydia, who it seems has abandoned her friends to fight alongside Troy and his gang of Hawkins thugs, she appears to have been badly hurt in a previous altercation.
Introduction to the Stranger Things season 4
If you’re returning to Stranger Things for another dose of the Upside Down and your favorite characters like Eleven, the Wheeler family, or Hopper, this is the article for you. We will go through all that’s been revealed so far about Stranger Things season 4 and give you some ideas about what we expect from this next chapter in Hawkins, Indiana.
-The trailer promises a battle between good and evil won’t be as cut-and-dry as it seems. Sure, there is a new and mysterious character who a white witch fights and what appear to be Russian soldiers surrounding Hawkins in the trailer. But otherwise, this is all still very familiar. Will the same secrets and monsters of season 1 return? Only time will tell.
-The end of season 3 saw the kids looking on as their friends fell individually. Will their enemies’ intentions to take them down hit the group hard? Will they be able to fight off their new enemies and evil within Hawkins?
-Will there be a follow-up to Steve’s death? Will we spend more time with Mike and Eleven in “The Upside Down” another year? Of course, there’s always a chance that this could all be a ruse, that Dr. Brenner was still alive before being killed at the end of season 2.

The fourth season of Stranger Things has a new storyline
Netflix’s Stranger Things has finally returned for its highly anticipated fourth season. The show follows a group of children searching for their missing friend, Will, who is carried off into another dimension called the Upside Down by an evil monster. This new season picks up with the kids a year and a half after the events of Stranger Things 3.
The season opens in the middle of the night, with Will leading a team of soldiers into the Upside Down. They pretend to be attacked to lure some locals away from their hive.
When things go wrong, however, Will coordinates a retreat. In the chaos, an unseen force takes him and his men captive. Meanwhile, in Hawkins, Lucas ventures into his basement to switch off a spider-like creature.
The fourth season of Stranger Things is Netflix’s most-watched English program.
Netflix has released its viewing statistics for Stranger Things Season 4, and it’s a doozy. The company revealed to Variety that the sci-fi horror drama garnered more than 40 million views, making it their “most-watched” English TV series in the first 24 hours when looking at 30 days after release. The 2013 BBC One series The Great British Bake Off was the previous record-holder.
It’s currently unknown how many of those views were from within the U.S., but it’s safe to assume a large percentage came from American soil.
The streaming giant also revealed that the average episode in Season 4 was viewed by 13 million members in its first 24 hours, putting it ahead of Game of Thrones (12 million) and Breaking Bad (11 million) as their highest metric ever.
