NewsDio Desk : Charles “Chuck” Geschke was the man who was a co-founder of a software which has given the world a new meaning and convenience. Yes, he co-founded Adobe Inc. and breathed his last at the age of 81.
Geschke who also has the credit to develop the technology of PDF resided in the suburb of Los Altos and died on Friday.
The death of a man signifies an irreparable loss
There is an official statement from Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayan who termed the death to be a huge loss for the whole Adobe community along with the technology industry. He was the man who was a guiding force for decades, is no more. He was the man who has been giving new found ways of communication, as he co-founded Adobe, Chuck and John Warnock. His work and dedication gave the world a pivotal change towards strengthening communication and establishing conversations.
The technology eased the lives of masses
Narayan further highlighted on the first product which was Adobe PostScript, which was able to provide new ways to print text as well as images on paper. The technology created an awesome level of convenience as it resulted in the way people found a lot of ease in fulfilling the requirements like never before.
Chuck regularly worked towards providing innovative resources for the company by way of producing highly sophisticated software which becomes the basis for creating an awesome level of invention thanks to the established workforce resulting in the form of PDF, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator along with Photoshop.
His wife, “Nancy” “Nan” Geschke aged 78, while giving interview to Mercury News has given a sneak peak about the personality of a man who has literally ruled the world with his perfection and dedication.
His wife reacted on how he became the founder of a renowned entity in the U.S and subsequently became the popular figure around the globe. He was proud of his achievements and has considered himself to be extremely lucky for the achievements he has made in his life.
He was the man with a doctorate degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He was soon hired at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center where he became friends with Warnock.
He later began to work on his dreams to open a software giant namely Adobe after moving away from the company in 1982.
In the year 2009, President Barrack Obama recognized his immense contribution in the field where he awarded Greschke and Warnock.
He is certainly regarded to be quite lucky where he survived a kidnapping attempt while he was going for work. He was held at gun point by two men who then made him captive for four days in Hollister, California. The police after detailed and thorough interrogation and investigation was able to catch the suspect with the ransom money as this arrest finally helped the cops to reach the hideout where the man was held captive.
The world is paying tribute to the man whose work will be remembered for years to come.
