While KGF Chapter 1 performed well, KGF Chapter 2 achieved peak collections, becoming a historic blockbuster and currently holding the record as the highest-grossing Sandalwood film in the territory. Given this impressive background, the superstar was anticipated to hit new milestones with his period gangster action thriller, though those expectations were ultimately unmet.

Toxic opened strongly with a gross of 18.5 crore, but negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth triggered a steep drop in ticket sales. Following this start, the movie concluded its theatrical run within just two weeks, bringing in a total gross of 33.54 crore. Alongside adverse audience reactions, its box office performance was also hindered by the blockbuster run of Ravi Teja’s Irumudi.
