Love Life is an American television series that was created by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil. The show takes place in the fictional city of Lovettsville, Virginia where everyone’s lives revolve around their love lives. Love life season 2 stars Alicia Hall as Mona Lisa, a woman who has been married five times and thinks she has finally found her true love.

-Precious Love (Yolonda Ross): Love’s younger sister; she works as a high school guidance counsellor but later becomes an inner-city public school principal after she was fired from her job for revealing that Love had an affair with the principal.
-Leslie Love (Blair Underwood): Love’s second husband, who is a famous psychologist and professor, but he’s also on his way to divorce Love after she cheated on him during their marriage.
-Lil D Love (Jidenna): Love’s first son, who is the product of Love’s relationship with Lil Tony.
Plot details
The plot of Love Life Season Two centres around Love’s new relationship with an ex-con named “Malcolm.” Love has two children from previous relationships. Love befriends Malcolm, who is now her landlord and the father of Love’s youngest child. Love’s oldest son, Lil Love (Jidenna), is a basketball star who has been offered a scholarship to play at UCLA. Love also tries her hand as an entrepreneur and opens up a barbershop/beauty salon with the help of Malcolm.

Synopsis:
In Love’s own words, “It’s a challenge being in a relationship with someone who is not your husband,” Love says. Love goes on to say that Malcolm isn’t the man she wants him to be and there are certain things he must do before Love can fully commit herself to their romance.
