In a move which was the need of hour amidst the growing concerns of Uber drivers who were quite concerned about their security , Uber and Amazon pay are collaborating with each other to install plastic screens in 40,000 Uber Autos.
The decision was long awaited considering the safety and security aspect of drivers and this collaboration will cover the drivers belonging to seven Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Chennai and Pune
The move has also taken care about the needs of the riders who have often complained about high charges. Since, now if the rider chose the mode of Amazon Pay, then he/she will be eligible for a cashback which can go uptp 50 percent with respect to every ride.
The decision has been taken to bring more business for Uber by taking in consideration about the safety aspect as well.
Currently, the feature is limited to seven cities. However, with the progress of time it will surely include more cities.
Prabhjeet Singh who is the president of Uber India seems to be highly excited and delighted towards expanding the partnership with Amazon Pay. As the move speaks volumes of ensuring a safe and affordable transportation for the people, something with the riders and everyone can expect from a responsible and dutiful company.
The partnership is expected to bring more avenues for the riders in terms of their increasing demand which basically relate to their growth. While at the same time, the rides are going to become affordable and pocket friendly.
