The van Helsing family is an old and noble European bloodline. They are the descendants of a Dutchman, Johan van Helped who fought with Emperor Charles V against the Turks in Hungary (1541). The van Helsings became Protestants during the Reformation; their castle was plundered by Prince Maurice of Orange on his way to vanquish the Spanish and Catholic armies in 1568.
In 1642, van Helped became a skipper of an English ship that was boarded by pirates led by Captain Bellamy near Bermuda. van Helped killed the pirate in a hand-to-hand fight, and Van Helsing’s descendants are proud of that heritage.

Featuring an array of van Helsing alumni and newcomers, van Helsing season six is set to be an exciting series. The van Helsing show hasn’t been in production for a year since van Helsing season five, and Van Helsing fans are getting restless.
Fans have been speculating about the van Helsing Season Six release date since van Helsing season five ended in April last year with a cliffhanger. It is not known when Van Helming will return to television screens but it’s speculated that we can expect van Helsing season six.
What’s in previous seasons?
Van Helsing Season One: van Helsing season one was the first van Helsing series. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic world where van Helsings, or vampire hunters, protect humans from vampires and other supernatural creatures that have taken over.
The story follows Vanessa Helsing as she takes on her father’s legacy after he is killed by a van Helsing traitor. In Van Helsing season one, Vanessa battles various types of vampires and other supernatural creatures with the help of her friends Dr Henry Jekyll (half-man/ half-beast) and Lady Amalia Cornaro, who is an Italian noblewoman turned to stone for killing nine men in single combat.
Vanessa van Helsing also encounters the ghost of her father Abraham van Helsing, and is guided by a mysterious man known as “The Preacher.” Season one ends with Vanessa van Helsing killing The Preacher and seeing him turn to stone.
Season two sees van Helsing season six continue in New Orleans where she faces off against the ghost of her father Abraham van Helsing, who returns to seek revenge on the daughter he never knew.
Vanessa van Helsing is aided by a new ally in New Orleans – Alistair Sloane: an Irish vampire hunter with his own reasons for pursuing Dracula and Vanessa van Helsing’s connection to him. The season ends with van Helsing vanquishing the ghost of her father, Abraham van Helsing.
Season three sees Vanessa van Helsing and Alistair Sloane travel to London in pursuit of Dracula’s son Ingrid, who has been kidnapping children for his “Master.” The season ends with Van Helsing using a prophecy from her ancestral book to successfully vanquish her father’s ghost.
The van Helsing team travels to the Amazon in search of a rare blood tree, but find themselves pitted against an ancient goddess who covets van Helsing and Sloane’s abilities for herself. The season ends with Vanessa van Helsing successfully defending the van Helsing ancestral book from Dracula.
Season four and van Helsing travels to the Congo on a quest for the fountain of youth.
In van Helsing Season five, van Helsing must find out who amongst her friends is not what they seem after an old enemy resurfaces with vengeance on his mind.
In season six van Helsing season, van Helsing travels to the Amazon in search of a rare blood tree. But they find themselves pitted against an ancient goddess who covets van Helsing and Sloane’s abilities for herself. Vanessa van Helsing successfully defends her ancestral book from Dracula at the end of Season Six.”
